i was wondering, im just starting to bodybuild and would it be better if i train the large musclesgroups first before i do the ft workout since ft only trains one specific muscle once a week..

Xia, what's your goal? If you signed up for the mass program, just follow it. Otherwise, you could overtrain. Yes, ft's programs are designed to train a specific muscle group once per week. However, if you follow the exercises closely, you'll not want to train them more than once per week.

Good luck!

Well, it is common to have your non-dominant side a little weaker. Do you work with dumbbells now? If so, try doing more reps on your left side. You'll need to increase the strength on that side.

Also, when you work with a barbell, you should be able to compensate the weaker side. The worse you can do is just overtrain...you won't see any gains when this happens.

One last thing I noticed, you mentioned working on shoulders, chest & biceps on the same day? This may not be a good idea. You should stagger the muscle groups being worked. Here's a sample training split:

Mon - Shoulders, forearms
Tues - Legs, calves
Wed - Chest, pectorals
Thurs - Rest
Fri - Back, traps and lats
Sat - Biceps, triceps
Sun - Rest

Hope this helps...good luck!

hey..

according to your split.. at a mass goal.. you seem to have selected a low amount of days to train per week? Was it 2 or 3 times only? This may be why three muscle groups are thrown together in one day. I recommend that you select 4 days.. which is much better for a mass plan.

Good Luck.

Never thought of the number of training days chosen. Listen to Arnold. You may want to consider 4 or 5 days to workout under the mass plan.
