I do my BMR on my lean mass only. If your body fat % is where you want it, then your total weight BMR + activity= maintenance calories. You figure the activity. It can be watching TV or doing cardio. You have to plug in that unit of calories. I think of activities in terms of 250/500/750/1000 calories depending on the amount of activity for that day.
