Gloves are a must unless your hands are one big caluss.
Belts on the other hand are only needed if you plan on lifting heavy. The only time i use my belt is on the last set or two on squats, deadlifts, and militarys. If you use it more than that your back will never be able to get stonger.

I only use belts when lifting real heavy. But one thing I use often is lifting straps. They allow for you to pay more attention to the muscle group being worked.

i'm 16 and have been lifting 3 years. when i lift i use belts but gloves or wrist wraps reduce the natural forarm work for lifting almost anything. that what i feel anyways.

I find that gloves do help, but I feel that belts have become part of the fashion trend. Some builders I know where them for everything where there is no need to. If you wish to use one choose one not made of leather because it gets cold faster than the others.

Hi There!!
I think that weight training belts and gloves etc
are necessary for people who are doing extrememly heavy weights. But for Beginners who have started to build a foundation for themselves should not use Training Belts Wrist Supports etc as without them the wrist and lower back will become more stronger and will gradually learn to handle the weight correctly. But as they go more heavier they should at least use Wieght Training Belts.
