I start off with three min. of jump rope, three sets of fifteen pushups (wide, normal, close) one set of crunches ('till burnout or bad form, which ever happens first) between pushup sets then finish with a fifteen pound kettle bell routine for about ten min. I'm usually sweating by the end, and the dog wants to go to the dog park. I usually end up running the one mile distance there with her and then back home again about an hour later. By 1:00pm it's time to head off to work (10.8 miles) on my bicycle.
My question is should I give myself rest days and if so what should I be resting? I do not have a car, so the 22 mile ride has to stay.
Thanks much,

Looks like a lot of exercise. The more you move the better.

Good question srly. I'll repeat it, Should I give myself rest days and if so what should I be resting? I have been given 2 different answers in the past. 1st said, Work out every other day to let the muscles relax. You can walk and stetch but no weights or over extended excercise, you don't want to tear a muscle. I started resting when I kept getting charlie horses. ANY ADVICE TO PREVENT THE CHARLIE HORSES IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. 2nd said, Don't worry about the rest or break time for your muscles. Drink lots of water and stretch regularly. When you stop working the muscles your muscles will start to ache. A good workout is the common cure for aching muschles. Which is the better advice? Neither of the persons mentioned are experts, just friends. Both do their workouts different. My workout involves lots of stretches, weights, walking (mostly cause I can't run very long), and bicycling.
