I'm 23, 6'2, 191 lbs. Two years ago I weighed 160, but did the mass gainer plan from this site, ate like crazy, and shot up to 180 in about 2.5 months. It was awesome. Right after that school got too crazy for me to keep lifting/eating right so I stopped. During these 2 years I quit smoking, and bam, shot up to 190. I'm sure all the beer helped some also.

Anyway, I'm starting to lift again, but this time I want to lose some fat while I'm at it. I'm doing the same mass gainer plan, but I'm not going to eat *as* much as I did before.

Here's my daily eating...

breakfast: 2 eggs, maybe a bagel w/low fat creme cheese or muffin or waffles also.

2nd meal: natural PB & J sandwich, grapes or melon or some other fruit.

lunch: turkey sandwich w/cheese, maybe chicken and rice, spaghetti, more fruit, cereal bar, some goldfish crackers/pretzels or something.

3rd meal: another PB & J or another turkey sandwich w/cheese. maybe a cereal bar if i haven't eaten one earlier.

4th: whatever I feel like eating before lifting, something relatively healthy though.

2 scoop protein shake somewhere in here after I lift.

dinner: whatever healthy thing I have. chicken and rice or vegetable stir fry with a light sauce. generally the fattiest meal of the day though.

6th: something light. usually just some fruit or maybe some oatmeal. maybe yogurt.

So...is this too much food? Everything is pretty healthy. The bread is whole wheat, jelly is natural fruit preserves, sandwiches don't have mayo. The worst thing I'll eat is maybe some frozen buffalo chicken strips. I'm usually hungry all day long after eating all of this also.

Should I eat more, less, cut something out? Also, do you guys know of any places I can get pre-panned out daily meals or even weekly meals with a good # of calories? I don't have time to count all my calories or plan a day's or week's worth of meals out to hit a certain # of calories. Any help is really appreciated, thanks.

Oh yeah, I try to drink about a gallon of water a day, take a vitamin, take flax seed oil, and try to get at least 8 hrs of sleep a night.

On the weeknights, I try not to drink any alcohol, but on the weekends I drink a ton still. On Saturdays I'm lucky if I get 2 meals in, sometimes even fast food, then a lot of beer at night.

It's good that you space your meals out throughout the day, however you need to be more specific with what you're eating so I can help. Also, you will not be able to gain strength and lose body fat at the same time in the long run, so specify your goals.

dgjesu3 is right. You can't do both at the same time. That's why bodybuilders had different diets and exercise routines. They lift and eat to gain muscle. Then they cut to maintain (which isn't the same this as gaining) muscle while losing the fat. When I started, I did a fat loss routine first and maintained what I had at the time, b/c I knew that I'd get discouraged quickly if I didn't see myself getting leaner earlier. Then, once I felt like I'd dropped some useless flab, I started a hypertrophy routine.

Also, you've got to clean up your weekend behavior. If you want to really be serious, you've got to be serious seven days a week. I'm not saying no beer at all, no indulgent food at all, but beer should be a treat, a reward, not a binge. And NO fast food. Period.

Alright. I guess I'll actually start counting calories/protein/fat/carbs to see where I'm at and what you guys think about it.
