Maybe this is a question for the doc, but I thought I'd try you guys anyhow... A year ago, I suffered some major damage to my ankle. 1 of the 2 main arteries (interior side, under the "ankle" bone) was permanately severed. Also was some major nerve damage (half the foot is numb all the time) and the air pocket within the joint itself was compromised. Now obviously I know to where a brace etc... But my question is, knowing that my future goals include running 10K's and playing hockey again, does anyone know of some good exercises I can do to build the ankle back up without causing further damage? Any advice/help is appreciated. thx all!
