I know that before bed you should have some slow absorbing protein like cottage cheese. I dont really care to eat cottage cheese before bed so I usually have my protein powder with milk instead of water. I read that the milk slows down absorption of the whey. Is this a bad idea because the milk has carbs in it? If so what are some alternatives to cottage cheese?
Thanks-

I think that it mostly depends on your goals. If you're trying to lose weight than you will need to be more strict with your pre-bed meal than if you are trying to gain mass.

But from what I've read you can't go wrong with cottage cheese. Try eating it like an hour before bed or something like that, may work better for you.
