I just went for my first jog since i was in public school (im 16). I've been riding the stationary bike for a month or 2 and i play hockey so I'm still pretty in shape from that. However.

I calculated how long i ran using Google Earth, although my area is hard to see where i ran, and it was 1.72km in 8-10 minutes, which was about 12km/h or 8mph.

1.7 km doesn't seem to long for a job, and im kindof ashamed because i was cramping up and thats why i stopped at 1.7km. Anyways, is 8mph a fast pace, am i out of shape, or both.

for me, on the treadmill 8 mph is freaking fast. I would call that all out running, not jogging. Thats just me though, and the treadmill.

I agree! I do my one minute HIIT intervals at 6.7 and that is about my limit.
