Okay, I posted on this once before, but I was so early on in my half marathon training that it wasn't such a big concern.
I'm currently enrolled in the general toning program here at freetrainers -- 5 days a week, intermediate level.
I am ALSO using Hal Higdon's half-marathon training schedule, which goes like this (at my current stage of the training schedule:
monday, 40 min cross
tuesday, 6 mile run
wednesday, stretch and strengthen
thursday, 4 mile run
friday, 2 mile run
saturday 4 mile run and strenthening
sunday -- off
Now, trying to do both programs, as you might imagine, is getting to be pretty intense, and as I up my miles in the coming weeks, I'll never be able to maintain both programs.
However, I definitely would like to continue lifting because I know it's important.
Can anyone help me coordinate some lifting into this schedule? Do you suppose that 20-minute program provided here on freetrainers would be more appropriate? I would prefer to keep my Sundays free.
Any advice is appreciated.
