I was at Walmart and they sell three different brands of whey protein powders. One is EAS the other is Six Star and the other is something like Body Mechanics or something like that.

Anyone use these before and if so, which one tastes the best? I know if I buy it and it tastes like sludge I won't take it and it will be a waste of money.

Speaking of money, the 2 pound jug is only around $15.

Body Fortress is the other one. They are all 'middle of the road' type proteins. YOu will not get hurt with any of them. I thought the 6 star was not bad in taste. The Body Fortress is ok too. Not a big fan of EAS, does not mix well at all.

Thanks. I almost bought the EAS and now I am glad I didn't. So now it is between the Body Fortress and the Six Star.

I love the Muscle Milk but am looking for something that is low carb, low fat and 100% whey protien. Which one will taste more like Muscle Milk?

Thanks.

The only real time 'quality' of a protein comes into play is maybe post workout and if in contest prep. Then you only want clean calories that count as calories are at a premium, and protein becomes vitally important as most of them are protein.

However, for just everyday stuff, trying to meet your protein needs, save your money on the expensive stuff and go cheap. Chances are you are eating enough food anyway to make little difference in the 'quality' of your protein intake.

If you are looking for the taste of MM, forget either of these 2. :)

Again, however if just looking for a decent cheap protein to meet your protein needs, as mentioned above.....

Thanks BB. Maybe I will just go with whichever is cheapest but I think they are like a dollar difference. Maybe it's time to get out a coin and flip.

Hey BB. I saw you recommending this website:

trueprotein.com

Should I order through them? Are they better/cheaper/better tasting?

Thanks.

the chocolate body fortress protein I use it ...as my "before bed shake" I add peanut buter to it. Cause it tastes kinda flat....but for 12 bucks...ehh? I'll get over it. Saves my good stuff for after workout
