Will I mess up my metabolism if I eat 1400 calories a day? If I eat 6 meals, each about 150-300 calories, every hour-and-a-half to two hours, could that mess up my metabolism and make it slow?
Thanks

Quite the opposite...your metabolism helps to increase when you eat more frequently.

On the contrary. If you are primarily doing cardio and eating such a limited amount of calories over 6 meals, you may want to worry more about catabolism. What are you currently doing that suggests to you that this would slow your metabolism down?
That seems a low number for someone so young who is working out so often. Let's see what some cardio/cut routine gurus have to say.

The ability of the body to use the muscles for energy. The opposite of anabolism.
Catabolism is your body "eating" its own muscle and this should be avoid. That what happens when you burn too much energy (calories) and don't weight train or get enough proteins.
