I just purchased a weight bench and was wondering how much weight should i lift if i just want to tighten up...I already have the bulkiness to my frame but i would love to tone up a bit...I have a curl bar that i'm going to use for now and i have a single 15pound plate and a single 25 pound plate already...so i'm thinking about going to modells and getting one of each of the same pound plate, a 15 and 25....How much should i lift u guys think if i'm just trying to tone? how often should i do the bench press? and how long will it take to see some results?
Just trying to tone? I read somewhere that there's no such thing as toning up. If you want to see your muscles better you need to lower your body fat. If you want better looking muscles, lift heavy and make them grow.
