I tried something NEW (for me) and would like some feedback please....
I tend to get bored during my rests between sets. (and sometimes even sidetracked) So....when I was working out chest, instead of resting I did a back exercise. I liked the way it felt to work opposite muscles so I kept alternating through all of my Chest and Back exercises. I then did the same for my tricep and bicep routine....instead of resting one muscle, I worked the opposite muscle. All that was left was shoulders, so I did those regular. I did my entire upper body in less than an hour. Is this OK? I enjoyed it much more than my previously slower rate. And, my heart rate was elevated as well.
My Workout Schedule has been:
Day 1 Chest, Shoulders, Triceps
Day 2 Legs, Abs
Day 3 Back, Biceps
Day 4 REST
Repeat
I was thinking of changing it to
Day 1 Upper
Day 2 Lower and Abs
Day 3 Upper
Day 4 Lower and Abs
Day 5 REST
REPEAT
Is it OK to workout all of upperbody in a day? My goals are to tone and define my muscles...not grow them at this point.
????????
