Your best bet is to shoot for 2-3 lbs a week and not try to do it quickly. Take it slow and it's more likely to stay off assuming you keep your diet clean.
I would work on making some goals for yourself. mikencharleston is right, you dont want to loose weight to quickly. But it is up to you and your specific goals to determine how much you want to loose.
