question about FT regiment

with an exercise like standing dumbbell curves it says to do 20 reps on the 1st set......its that 20 reps with each arm or 20 total reps?

In addition to that, the programs typically give 4 sets of each exercie with the 1st set being a fairly high number of reps. Do this set with a lighter weight, it is intended to be a warm-up set. Good luck and welcome to FT!
