I am 21 yrs old, male, about 6'2 200, and I am trying to build my chest shoulders and arms. I do alot of exercises, but push ups are my favorite. I was wondering how much is too much when it comes to push up's? When I workout I like to do sets of 30+, and I can get to 300 pretty quickly. I also do maybe arround 100 every morning when I wake up. Can I do more or should I be doing less push ups when I work out.

Why are you doing them every day? What else do you do? If you want to get serious about working out, get to a gym or buy a rack and some free weights and start doing big movements such as squats, deadlifts, bench press, military press, dips and widegrip chins.

I do push up's every morning to jump start my metabolism. I dont do 300 everyday, more like every other day. I have a bench and free weights. But push ups are my favorite exercise.
