how is this i changed a few things


meal 1 oatmeal unflavored orange 2 egg whites

meal 2 tuna fish in whole wheat bread salad no fat dresssing

meal 3 banana pretzels apple

meal 4 chicken vegtable potato cottage cheese

meal 5 usually a protein shake before bed

You can add a couple more in-between meals by just drinking your protein shake say between meal #1/#2 and #3/#4. Also, you should drink one immediately after working out. This should help increase your total protein intake to the recommended 1-1.5g per pound of bodyweight.

meal 3...is Three Simple Carbs. Why not try the cottage cheese with apple or/and banana instead. then at meal 4 add a little extra chicken and skip the CC at this meal. You will have more stable blood sugar with this approach.

I guess it depends what time during you work out? Some simple carbs can come in handy straight after weights. I'd slap a shake on the end of meal 3 and use it as a post workout meal.

also....why pretzels on the diet? is that your "sanity" food?

are pretzels not good to have when weight training..............
