I've just bought a set of weights (seeing how as chicken arms dont help anyone). It's a 50kg set (to start off with ;) I was told that if i did too much too soon, then i would do lots of damage. I've only started with about 20lbs bench pressing for about 30 mins (throughtout the day) and then, to try and shift some weight, 20 mins (building up to 30+) once a day? is this ok to start with?
I was also reading another post, that said to cut out simple carbs like fruit (apart from a few), I eat a lot of fresh fruit and vege, and also get protein from meat (mainly chicken, sausages (occasionaly) and bacon, thinking about it, these foods, along with pasta and bread is all i really eat.
Is there anything wrong with this in order to loose a little weight / build muscle? or do i need to eat less fruit (:S) and more of other things?
thanks
Welshy

shift some weight?
not quite sure what you're talking about....
yes cut out simple carbs and eat more of complex variety....(no pasta, non-whole bread,etc)...(yams, buckwheat, brown/black/wild rice, quinoa, etc)
is there anything wrong? well you don't have a lifting program and your current 'lifting program' look more like a weird form of a cardio.....so NO...you have to find a resistance program and do some kind of actual cardio....running, jump roping, etc....HIIT...
fill out profile....not sure whether I am helping a 10yr old girl or a 80 year old man....

ps: last comment is a reflection of the many people who post here...so it's impossible to know who we're helping ....unless you tell us...and answers will differ greatly....
