Alright been working out for about two year. I started out bench at around 65 i can do about 155 now. Then i also do squat and hang cling and many more workouts for football in our school gym, but im to the point were im not increasing anymore and my body is at its maximum so Ive had this whey Protein powder, but never took it im thinking about starting on it. It has 20 grams of protein then milk that i drink has 8 then this other stuff i put in it has 2 so that is 30 grams how often should I take it and before or after workouts? and last do you see a difference?

Your whey protein is just another type of protein. It is the fastest absorbing protein with a good profile of amino acids which is the building blocks of muscle. So, in saying this it would be beneficial to you to try and get protein from your meals you eat at least every 2 and a half to 3 hours. Spread your meals out into 5 to 7 small meals. Replace some meals like in between your 3 regular meals with 2 scoops of whey and skim milk and maybe a banana. Also, at least within 30 minutes after you workout take 2 scoops of the whey and something with a high glycemic content. This will aid in recovery. Now, in saying all of this if you think you were gaining then...do this and you will be blown away. It also might benefit you to take some type of slower digesting protein such as casein preferably or egg to keep the nutrients flowing at night time. Do this and you'll see what the hype is. Whey comes from milk, but milk is only 20 percent whey and 60 percent casein. It also only has 8 grams. To get adequate amounts of amino acids, you'll need the powder. Another recommendation is try to eat more lean meats,, especially beef. Hope this helps.
