I have been lifting for 4 months, i am almost at the entire stack on most exersizes, but b/c of excess fat i dont see a lot of definition. i think my high calorie diet has helped my muscle gains, but limited my fat burning. Maybe i tried gaining muscle before cutting fat out of order.. the bottom line is i want to keep what ive got on the muscular side, but cut fat. what can i do to burn the most amount of fat while also keeping or even gaining (or at the VERY least maintaining) additional muscle tissue???

doing stack on machines doesn't necessarily mean much, I suggest you switch over to freeweight exercises ...you'll get much better results doing freeweight exercises like squats, deadlifts, bent over rows, dips, pull ups...u get the idea .....i am glad you been working out consistantly....that's what it takes....
the rest is diet....nutrition plays a huge role...so you gotta really clean up your diet and cut calories...
start taking 3-5g of fish oil capsules twice a day....it will help spare muscle while dieting

Thanks for the advice. I should have asked this before but I didn’t. What cardio regimen should I be doing? I’ve read on here that a lot of people don’t advise much cardio because it can reduce mass. I am running for about 10-15 minutes a night right now. My pace is usually a constant with occasional 30-45 second bursts when I feel like im not breathing hard enough. I don’t know if this is too much, too little or whatever. I don’t mind doing cardio and in fact I like the challenge most days of hitting my mile time in under 10 min, but I don’t want it to derail my progression. Would it be wise to go to an all cardio workout till I drop a couple dozen pounds or should I keep up with everything? This stuff is confusing, its like every time I read something, somebody has a different opinion and it conflicts with someone elses!! :dumbbell:
