I know that the main key to the process is burning more calories than you are taking in. Key foods to avoid are high sugar/caloric foods like soda and sweets.
Along with that you should focus on exercises to target that area. Do a search in fitBuddy on getting a Six-Pack.
Good Luck

A six-pack is very very difficult to acheive, you have to work your abs with weight and diet like nobodys business. Even then very few acheive ever it. Good luck.

Its not hard to strengthen the abs muscles. Its not about how much weight you can do with your abs. A six pac abs is found in the kitchen. You need a proper diet to help burn fat. Strengthening the muscle to point where it shows is not the issue here; you could have a six-pack underneath a layer of fat, but no one is going to see it until you burn that fat away. For men, your body fat percentage is around 6%, I believe. Women can see six pack abs in as high as 15%, I think.
FT Regs, please correct me if I'm wrong.

london...you're right a 6 pack will mostly be found in the kitchen (not a 6 pack of beer though), but it is also about resistance. Like any muscle it's not going to get firm (or bulge) without some amount of resistance. That's like saying I can get incredible shoulders and glutes by just doing cardio...which isn't the case. It's a combination of everything. Granted the fat burn is the larger part of the equation...but never discount resistance if your goal is to get muscles to show.
