HELP !!! I want to get a runners body

So how do is start? I know obviously running, but what else? I'm thinking get my cardio better conditioned,and get some stronger legs. How is a runners diet though? i wonder how do i start off a running regimine? any suggestions?

what sort of runners body.......a long distance runner has a far different body than a sprinter

I saw a commercial the other day and apparently you can get everything on EBay!

j/k...nyx is right...depends on what kind of runner your referring to. Marathon runners are incredibly slim, but they typically eat like horses, sprinters are typically lean but muscular. Also depending on what type of running you're doing will determine your diet.

well i was interested in the long lean sprinters body, i know they must do i lot of strength training especially for they're legs.

i think you've got it mixed up......the long lean body is what the long distance runners get. sprinters have the real bulky muscular legs and tend to be a little bigger.

That body type that I think you are talking about comes from running a lot. What happens when you run 5 or more miles a day is that your body is burning up a ton of calories. When you do this on a consistent basis you see a loss of fat. I have jogged/run for years and it helps to control my weight but I don't go for more than 2 miles a day. I have never achieved a marathon runners body because I don't run enough, but I do think it helps with weight loss. Hope this helps.
