could you guys let me know if this would be a good cutting routine which allows me to keep my muscle

-every day i cut my calories by 500 (making it 2500-2700 daily)

-add cardio on my non-lifting days (only cardio i usually do is 10 min warm-up)

-keep lifting how i was lifting before

is this good, or is there anything i need to add or change?

thanks

LOL...so after 5 days you'll be eating negative calories? jk

500 calories is a big drop...try to drop 250-300 calories every couple of weeks....

otherwise it sounds good...just be sure to add about 3-4 days of 30-60 min cardio at your best pace....

I suggest you take Fish Oil supplement while doing this...it will help prevent muscle breakdown...3-5g in the morning and 3-5g at night....try capsules....if u hate fish oil aftertaste that some people get, try enteric coated capsules...

I suggest you start to cut calories by smaller amount(250)...and cut further and further as need arise(you slow down in your weight loss)....you may need to cut as much as 1000 calories total from your average daily intake....

Do a search on "diet thead".
I try to remember it being something like find your maintenance calories(what it takes to maintain your current size), then cut 100 calories weekly until you get down to a point were your not really dropping the weight anymore, don't want to really be losing more than a pound to a pound and a half a week. Workouts should be vigorous as this is a way of getting an extra calorie deficit w/o cutting out actual calories. Then introduce some cardio for an extra calorie deficit later outside of your regular workout. Still trying to re-learn all this on my own so don't quote me please. Best bet would be doing a "diet thread" search.
Good luck!
