Hey everyone...new too the site. I'm a 21 (22 in 5days) motocross racer from upper north dakota. I've been racing for 6 years and this coming year is turing into my best chance to turn pro...Well, unfortunetly my fitness isn't what it should be, and I need a little help getting that edge. My strength is good it's just that i need to work on endurance, since my motos will be 20+ minutes riding as hard as I can. I've managed to make it this far off of my talent, but I'm afraid my fitness isn't going to catch up to me and it's going to affect me in the long run. Going Pro is a major goal of mine and I need a little help to put some excitement into my cardio. I've been working out since october; going in about 2-3 times aweek...but it seems like progress is slow and I'm not getting the results I need. I just need some guidance. Any help is greatly appreciated!!! thank you.
Hey man good luck on turning pro. I ride motocross but only for fun and a hobby. Im in South Dakota. Anyway I would suggest Gary Semecs training DVDs. He has a specific motocross exercise and nutrition program DVD that is very good and very in depth. I have used it and increased my stamina greatly. I also use the programs off of this web site often.
This is also a great place to go for nutrition information. Don't know how many other people on here ride but still a ton of info here. Good luck!!
