A general rule - 11 calories per pound of bodyweight.

Some trainers will go with your lean body mass or desired weight, but if you rae larger you will need to gradually bring down your calories.

What will really determine your optimal intake will be your current intake. you have to adjust from that to get it right.

On top of that realize what you should be eating and try to avoid empty calories...like soda's, various types of sugars and processed foods.
