Well I am going threw a hard time in my personal life for the past week. So I kind of fell off the wagon a little. Fell off my diet and work out routine. It has been about 5 days since I went to the gym. I went today and WOW I had a great work out. Lifted more and was able to do more reps.
Can you body get burnt out when lifting weights? I go 4-5 days a week and follow the mass building program.

How long had you been working out without a break? A week break is not only a healing process for the body, but a mental break. This is a healthy thing to do periodically.
The renewed mental attitude/focus alone can do wonders.

I just did the same thing myself... for the same reason.. Except, I've only been working out about three weeks.. the past week I just haven't had the spirit... :(

Sounds like a lack of motivation from this side.:(

yea...generally a week off is something you would do after intense consistant training for at least 6-8 weeks....and probably more like 8-12 weeks....after 3 weeks it's too early...look at the reasons of why you don't have the 'spirit' or energy....poor sleeping habits? poor nutrition? poor lifestyle choices?
