I always do cardio first thing in the am , 40 min. But I feel as if it isn't working anymore, I know about plataues, and have started speed walking on the treadmill. I switch between 2 machines in a session. I heard something interesting though from a trainer at my gym. She said that it is really only necessary to do 20-30 min a day of cardio. If that's true, I'm stoked. I want to do the least amount of time but the most effective. I have tried HIIT butI didn't feel like it gave me results like I have heard from other members on this site. Also if trying to loose fat is is better to do after wieghts or before. I usually do wieghts in the pm 3 x's a week.
Thanks ~

You should ideally do cardio on separate day from weight lifting or after you finish lifting weights....
Yes you can spend less time on cardio...but if u spend only 20 min...it would be best if u increased your intensity...so that you need to run fast or sprint for this period of time....

I like doing cardio/HIIT after my weights so that I have more energy for resistance training, which ultimately, is more beneficial.
