I need to lose weight bottom line!!! I am 5'1 at 145. Would like to lose 30lbs. I don't go to the gym but I do have a treadmill. I also have some video's (tea bo and pilates). Here is a "typical" day.
Morning-Treadmill 30 min/1.5 mile walk.
Mid day - 30 min tea bo or pilates
Afternoon - 30 min treadmill 1.5 mile walk.

I am still gaining weight!!! I just dont get it. I "try" to eat good. I keep track on fitday. Weekdays I have been able to maintain a 1200cal/day but weekends tends to be uped to around 3000cal!!! Could this be why?
I tried the HIIT this morning.
2 min warm up 3.0
1 min 6.0
1 min 3.0
1 min 8.0
1 min 3.0
1 min 8.0
1 min 3.0
1 min 8.0
3 min cool down 3.0-2.0
My shins were KILLING ME!!!!!! Are they supposed to hurt that bad? Did I over do it? Major cramp!
Also, was that a long enough HIIT? Should I go for a round 2 later today?

I just don't know when to quit. I go from one extreme to the other. PLEASE help!
:)

I think that 1200 calories during the week is probably too low for you, thereby slowing your metabolism. And I'm guessing the 3000 calories on the weekends is probably crap food. That sounds like too many calories even if the food you consume is healthy. I think you should consult the nutrition plan from this website and stick to it. Buy a portion scale and measure every thing. Your diet has a huge influence on whether or not you loose weight. It's every bit, if not more, important as your workout. Also, if you do a fitbuddy search on HIIT you will find the best way to do it. You should also incorperate weight training into your day maybe 3x's per week. The more muscle you build, the more calories you burn per day. Cut back on the treadmill to just once per day in the am.

Thanks for the advice. I am having a huge problem upping my calories. I don't know how to eat more "healty" I am now eating every three hours. Oatmeal, tuna, brown rice, egg whites, and salads. that is what I have during the day. Then I have a small serving of whatever I cook for dinner. Last night was pork tenderloin brown rice and green beans. I am full alll day doing this. Yesterday my calories came to
Total: 1419
Fat: 28 18%
Carbs: 182 48%
Protein: 112 33%
I just don't know how to do it!
Today will be 1304 after dinner. I guess i just don't get it.
