I enrolled in freetrainers two days ago and I inputed my info. I am following the nutritional plan provided on the web site. I have been aware of my eating habits for a while and my goal is to loose 20 lbs. I noticed that the nutritional planed assigned me with 2860 calorues. I am 27 years old. I am lactating and I exercise five days a week. However I believe 2860 calories is to much. What do you guys think? I thought 2000 where to much.

I tend to find the calories they give are a bit high as well, but it really depends on what your current weight is. The smartest thing to do is track everything, and I mean everything, you eat for a week or 2 and then break everything down into carbs, fat, protien and calories. If you are currently maintaining your weight, then try cutting your intake by 250 calories per day. Make sure you are eating clean...no junk and a healthy mix of carbs protien and healthy fats and try to devide your calories into 5-6 small meals per day. I like to focus on eating whole foods, not processed, which makes dieting easier. You should plan to loose 1-2lb / week. Check out the nutrition forum for lots of other useful info on nutrition and weight loss.
Good Luck...it takes effort and dedication, but you will learn a valuable lesson on healthy eating!
-------------- Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there.

I've been eating the same basically now for a month, started using the nutrition plan to track for a week. It said I needed to eat 3500ish a day, well I've barely broken 2000 on any one day and I'm never hungry. I'm still loosing weight (20 in 4 weeks) and ALL the food I'm eating is very healthy. I'm getting plenty of the vitamins etc in my food. Wouldn't worry about it too much.
