Fitness is my highest none academic priority in my life, and has been for the past year. Now that I'm nearing my BF% goals I'm become particularly intense. I feel like even the conditioning of my football practice is too light, I include weight training on top of it along with some running. I think my last rest day was about 10 days ago. I feel pretty exhausted at night but I sleep better than I ever have. 45 seconds from laying down I'm asleep (averaging 8 hours a night) I wake up and ache quite a bit but within a couple minutes I shake it off and I'm up and ready for the day. Could I be overtraining? Do I maybe need a day to just relax?
You should be resting a minimum of 1 day per week and getting your 8hrs sleep. If you keep up what you are doing, you won't be doing it for much longer. Your muscles need to recuperate and grow, this happens while nNOT training. Good Luck to you and congratulations on your progress.

Still trying to find out how to do the Hollywood Free Press.
carivan and I seem to be following each other around tonight. I'll have to disagree a little but he's right on that you need some repair time. I've done the resistance thing for awhile and I've had periods since I was in my 20's that I'd get carried away but I was my strongest just prior to turning 50. I'd work out almost obsessively each day and sometimes twice a day. Maybe there is a male menopause. :) Experience let me know when I was pushing but I made a point of taking two days off with no exercise of any kind after 4 days. At the most five days but always two days off. You can do it and it can do wonders for your physique and strength but you need to be really aware that you can hurt yourself severely and the injury you get may well be with you for the rest of your life. Point being, yep, you can do what you're doing, just make sure it's not doing you any long term harm.
