to higher your metabolism you can eat every few hours because that will fire up your metab drinking water will also and building muscle will burn fat "i suppose you have a low metabolism so there is really nothing you can do too prevent getting bigger unless you exercise all the time true but sad. " if you exercise all the time your not goin to get smaller eventually your body will be over trained and from exercising all the time your body will start to store fat what do you mean theres nothing you can do to prevent getting bigger? theres plenty of things as long as you do it right and make a commitment to it

they've sort of got the idea.

in terms of exercising, try a full body routine or a circuit, say 3 days a week. stick with compound exercises, which will maximize fat burn. also check out the programs here on ft. theres been much success had as a result of them.

do cardio 3- 4 times a week as well. try to train for about a max of 30 mins, as a higher intensity will be better for fat burn. look into HIIT when you feel you are up to it. it is an advanced technique, and is very hard on your body, so be careful. but factoring this into your cardio regime is a great way to maximize fat loss.

in terms of your diet, dont go vegetarian. protein is important to build muscle, which in turn will help raise your metabolism. and when you start shedding the pounds, you dont just want to be a shrunken version of your old self, you want to change your shape as well. make sure you are getting alot of fibrous veggies, fruit, complex carbs (ie whole grains), and healthy fats. check out the nutritional forum for more info on this, as much of it has been discussed. consult the recipe thumbtacks and healthy eating guide thumbtacks for great ideas on what to eat. try to split your meals up ove the day.. say 3 meals with snacks in between.. or 5- 6 meals a day, whatever suits you. eating more often will prevent binging at normal mealtime, and make sure your metabolism runs all day. hope this rant helps a bit, if you have any more specific questions, feel free to post them, or consult fitbuddy at the bottom.. good luck !
