I'm looking for a good quality excercise bike and was hoping someone had a recommendation. Many years ago, I used a LifeCycle brand and really enjoyed it, although I'm open to any suggestions. I am hoping to spend no more than $1500. Quality and comfort are important. I'm a heavy guy (255lb). I would like to use this as a main form of cardio. Also, I live on a second floor apartment so it's important that it's not going to generate any kind of noise that would be disturbing to neighbors.

Thanks,
Tomas

I don't know which brands are best, but if you try looking in fitness amgazines, often they will have a product review, so you might get ideas there.

I don't imagine that noise will be a problem with any exercise bike at the price you are looking at.

I didn't pay that much for mine, about $400. I have a schwinn 203 recumbent. I'm in an apartment as well and it is super quiet with the exception of changing gears. It's not noisy, that's just the only sound you hear from it. I can't imagine the rest of the line not being the same.
