Alright, I'm a 15 year old girl, I'm 5'10'' tall, and wieght 170lbs. I want to know what OTHER things I can do besides running or walking for a cardiovascualar workout. You see, I hate running, PLUS, I severely sprained my ankle two years ago and it sometimes bothers me whenever I have to run in school.

So, what other workouts can I do BESIDES run or walk for a cardiovascualar work out? I'd love any suggestions.

P.S. I love swimming, too, so I do that at least every weekend if the pool's open.

elliptical machines are good.. they are low impact and take pressure off joints (ie your ankle)

You may also want to work on strengthening your ankle - start by writing the alphabet with your big toe every morning, that runs you through range-of-motion, if you have an exercise band you can work some resistnace with your foot. Practice standing on one foot, closing your eyes, challenge your ankle a bit with different walking terrain. the fact that you have residual pain means it wasn't rehabbed well and you need to work on it. ice it after you workout, that will help keeep the pain and swelling down.
