Hello everyone. I am new to the site and have a question. I have been working out for about a year now and want to tone up more and loose more weight. I have already lost about 40 pounds, but want more loss. What would be better: increasing the weight in my routine or increasing the cardio (I already do about 45 minutes 3-4 times a week). If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds to me like you're already doing enough cardio. To tone up more, an increase in the wts or changing up your training routine should help...BUT...if you're trying to lose more weight, look at your diet! If you haven't already, fill out your nutrition profile and make sure your eating a clean and appropriate diet for your current wt and exercise level. There is some excellent info on this site regarding proper diet for wt. loss.

Good Luck.

i would say increasing the weight.. as you build muscle, you will burn more calories from an enhanced metabolism. stick with the cardio you have.
