Hey guys, I've noticed more and more as I workout that stretching much become a fundamental part of your workout during the first 10 minutes before working out. What I usually do is do a quick 5 minute warm up on the bike (to warm up the muscles) and then do some stretches. But the problem is, I really do not know which stretches to use. I know I should use more stretches based on the exercises I do that day but I do not know many. Can you guys give me a few stretches per body part so then I will know which ones to stretch. Thanks a million.

You should only static stretch muscles that are tight. Usually tonic muscles. If you don't fee tightness when stretching leave them alone. Stretching the wrong muscles can lead to joint instability. A bad thing before bench pressing or squatting.

Try dynamic movements that increase range of motion rather than static stretching. Do a google search on dynamic stretching or dynamic movements to get and idea of what it is I am refering to.
