I've just started training after a year of doing no training at all. I'm pretty much going back to the way I was before I done any training, skinny and untoned. Previous times I got really fit and toned but never ever got any bigger. I've always been skinny.

I've been at it a week so far and I've managed to gain 1kg in the first week. I'm currently now at 65kg, which is the most I've ever weighed. I couldn't ever get above 64kg in the past. I've been trying really hard to eat a lot and I'm sure 1kg seems like a fairly good gain.

How much weight should I be aiming at gaining per week? Is 1kg not enough, just right or too much?

Well it all depends. If you want to gain fat and muscle then you can put on weight moderately fast. But if you want to gain muscle only its going to take some time. Not sure on the exact kg. per week. I'm sure someone else can help ya out there. GL
