i notice lately that i may be able to bench 100 more pounds then some of the wrestles on the wrestling (me playing football) but they can beat me in arm wrestling and they feel more powerful is that real strength?

arm wrestling is technique #1, hand size place a huge role(big hands=huge advantage), big forearms/grip are also a great advatange(both of which wrestlers have), bench does very little in terms of arm wrestling....hand,wrist, forarm, arm strength are the things that matter more...I can outbench my friend by about 250 lb ...he until recently beat me handily....last time it was a tie....(stuck halfway for a minute)....he has very strong grip, forarms....very wiry....I also outweight him by 35 lb...still to no avail...

yeah, arm wrestlin is a pointless, innaccurate test of strength, unless you win.
