ok i have a problem - i go to the gym 5 times a week and do about 35 mins cardio and 1 hour of weights ... im eating a high protien diet , while my carbs and fats are low - howeber i have a bad habit of stepping on the scale multiple times daily - the thing thats driving me nuts is my weight varys from 198 to 205 throughout the day... its getting very annoying!! so how much do i really weigh, and how often should i weigh myself (i know checking my weight everyday isnt good lol) .. thanks!

stay away from the weigh scale first and foremost.. dont measure your progress based on that. remember, as you build muscle, you may GAIN weight, as it weighs more than fat, and you may be building muscle faster than you are losing fat. your weight fluctuates during the day due to retention of water weight.. the best time to weigh yourself is first thing in the morning.

if you still want to weigh yourself, do it once every few weeks.

Bropie is absolutely right - heed his advice.

BE CONSISTENT.

The only weigh for me that "counts" in on Wed. morning. It's taken a lot of mental discipline to get to the point when I jump on the scale on Monday and it reads something "weird" to go, oh well it doesnt count.
