Anyone have any updates going on for the 8 week lift off thing?
Anyone still stuck? not getting results they want?
My bench I think is doing fine.....I been doing some chain work for the past 2 weeks or so....same on squats.
I resently after 8 sets did 1 rep of 415 on a box....with about 20lbs of chains. I don't think I have ever doen 415 on a box.......i'm hoping to get up to about 450 box. HOpe this well also help my deadlift to some extent.
this however is with no belt or knee wraps.
My deadlift been so so...not all that great.......1st 2 weeks into the challange I did 435 or so....sumo style. I'm not that concerned.....the plats at this gym are 2 -3 in smaller than a regulation size 45......the 45s I use are actually bout 1/2 smaller than a normal 35.
This is no wraps belt or straps.
For my bench, i'm not sure how i'm doing....i'm doing a prgram that wil soposly have me 3 reping my max of 320....by the end.
My weight has been going up and down alot....I was hoping to drop a few lbs......my weight goes from anywere from 255 to 261.....which 258-59 is where I usually am.
so what about you guys?

I posted a bit of an update earlier, but I've copied some of it here again:
Progress from May 2 to May 30, 2005
Wt. 155 to 152(I'm going to break 150 even if I have to remove a limb!)
Bench press: 36lb to 56lbs
SL DL’s: 65 to 105
Squats: 105 to 125
Pull Ups-Assisted close grip: 62lbs to 82lbs
-these aren't 1rep Max, just the highest wt on my last set of typically 8 reps.
Also, I’ve increased my running from 5km 2X/week, to 6km 3X/week (shooting for 2X6km + 1X10km/week).
I’m very pleased with my progress thus far.
I Have great summer plans to keep me motivated so watch out fellow challengers

I've gained 3 lbs...and considering that I've been 110 the last 4 months thats pretty sad...
My dl and bench has increased at the typical novice pace..I'm not sure how to judge my squats becuz I just switched over to box squatting, I guess the last week of the comp I'll do a reg. squat for comparison.

I'm gonna kep box squating for another 2 weeks or so.....then i'm gonna start regualar squats.
mmaibohm.........you don't have to max on the last day of the contest.......if you peaked 2 weeks ago at 250......count it man.....this is more like PR's ........not a power lighting met where you max all in one day.

Randomgirl if your lifts are increasing, a lot of that 3lb is probably muscle :):dumbbell:
Considering I have started a new job and moved house, I am still managing a reasonable amount of cardio. Haven't been out the bike much due to the scottish weather.
I've been trying to do a maintenance lifting routine, and I have also lifted several very heavy boxes up the stairs to my flat, which I think must count for something. I am very glad that I've been lifting for a while, because I am too stubborn and independent to ask anyone for help :)

Everything increases but my arms..dag lil twigs..
Be carefull moving yourself in and congrats on the new flat..you never know, asking for "help" may get you meeting a hot new neighbor:laugh:
