im hoping to start boxing, and need a good workout plan and/or nutrition plan. if anybody out there could help out it would be great. i've heard really good things about this and am fairly serious about it.

start jumping roping...get rhythm going, then try to do it faster and faster.....try doing 2 loops for every jump....if you're super fast you might eventually be able to do 3....then do crossovers on 2 legs, then 1...switch crossovers from 1 leg to the other...etc....first you can start doing jump ropes by aiming to hit a certain target 100 loops....and keep increasing the goal....eventually start setting goals in terms of time...1 min, 2 min, 5 min, etc....you can also combine elements of interval training by doing them super fast, then slowing down to light pace for a couple minutes and repeat....or some variation of this....

for weight lifting get a basic full body workout...powerlifting style might be a good type of workout...to gain explosiveness....check out the powerlifting section for the routines....however your general workout will focus around a few compound exercises...

ie...power cleans, squats , deadlifts, chin ups, bench presses, sit ups...
