On of my man's achilles snaps when he walks. He's big into weight training and fitness. It sounds just god awful! He said it's been going on for quite a long time - has anyone had something like this? There's gotta be something wrong! I esp hear it when he's walking barefoot around the house.

When you say "snap" do you mean it makes a cracking sound? If so, and there's no pain, there shouldn't be anything to worry about. Practically all the joints in my body crack a lot of the time.

If there's pain or loss of function it may be more serious. He doesn't use steroids, does he? That can make your tendons more likely to break.

If his achelis snaps......he wouldn't be walking lol he wouldn't be able to point his toes or put weight on it.
