Ok, so I am going to be in NYC this weekend (Fri-Sun). I have made a great deal of progress over the past 5 months and I am terrified that I might mess it up! I want to enjoy myself, but I don't want to spend the weekend feeling guilty either.

Take this weekend off for a break. It's a good thing to take a break every once in a while just so that your body recovers completely. Some people even take a whole week off. Just continue to eat healthy, or at least try your best, and you'll do fine. Just get back on track after the vacation. Have fun!

Hey Kasey.
After 5 months of good progress, a few days off may actually be the best thing you can do.
That said, eat your regular meals (perhaps a splurge or two to "celebrate" being in NYC if you want to) and schedule your Sunday night or Monday workout NOW and make it a MUST. That is the most important thing you can do, in my opinion. It is way too easy to let that 3 day break turn into a 3 week break. I have seen it happen to people over and over again.
Enjoy the time in NYC. Relax. Rest up. Then hit it again early next week. You can't kill 5 months of progress in 3 days. If you are really worried, I am sure you can find a place to work out one day, or go for a run outside and do pushups/crunches.
Good luck!

Thanks guys! I'm not worried about the workouts...I'm looking forward to giving my body a bit of a break. I am a little concerned about the eating. But hell, a couple of days of indulgence won't kill me...I'll still make intelligent choices and I will definitely be right back in the gym on Monday morning!
