I'm afraid about my high heart rate. In rest time it is above 80 close to 90 and if I'm doing something very easy, like get up from chair its jumps to over 100. I didn't do any workouts long, long time and in that time I drunk a lot of coffee (10 - 12 cups a day). Now I'm trying to eliminate coffee or reduce drinking to 1 cup a day. I'm doing cardio about two months, but my heart still pounds in this same high rate and I don't see any improvement. Any suggestion?

What heart rate zone are you working in when you do cardio?

It is normal for your heart rate to elevate when you get up and move around. A normal heart rate can range from 60-100 bpm, resting.

Your resting heart rate is taken when you wake up, before you get up out of bed or do anything. This is the number you want to concern yourself with.

If you are really concerned, see your physician.

If you are doing cardio correctly, it will lower your resting heart rate. You can't overexert, but you need to be up in your target heart rate zone.
Doing too much too soon can be detrimental and cause elevated heart rates.

Try doing 20 minutes in your 65-75% of your max Heart rate, three times a week. It doesn't matter if it feels too easy, just stay in that zone and you should improve your fitness level.

Thank you for information. I'm working in 126 - 153 moderate to heavy intensity zone, mostly 144 - 148. My training schedule is 25 min cardio. Is that OK?

I would bring it down for a while, closer to ther 128 - 135 range and keep track of your resting heart rate once a week. See if it goes down. if it does, you are getting fitter, if it stays the same, up the intensity a little, if it goes up, lower the time or intensity a little again and keep tracking it.

Should I use special food or diet?
I'm little afraid about side effect all those "Nutrition special" and if it is possible I would prefer use natural food.
