I'm on a cutting diet, and I was wondering how much damage occasional drinking does during a cutting phase. I drink once every two-three weeks, always Michelob Ultra which is a low carb beer. I'm a college student, so I feel like I'm pretty disciplined with that. And I always drink a protein shake before I go to sleep to help prevent muscle loss.
Since I've heard people have cheat days once a week, I figure this could count as that seeing that i don't cheat on my diet otherwise. But I'm still interested to see if I'm doing a lot of damage. I'd be willing to do an extra day of cardio if need be.
Inform me, my enlightened ones.

WHile cutting, you're limited on calories, so you're trying to get as much nutritious foods into your body as possible....ocassional beer won't kill u...espcially low carb one...which are usually less than 150calories...
however how many do you drink? 1 is fine....however if you down 10 of them...then you're completely disrupting your diet...
also I am sure you heard but alcohol slows down muscle repair....so drinking alcohol especially on workout days will significantly slow down your muscle repair and therefore your gains....
These type of carbs are also likelier to be stored as fat..
But like I said...1-2 beers every 2-3 weeks won't kill your diet...so if it's ur cheat food...go ahead and do it... throw in an extra cardio session day after...
