hey, i got two things i need help wit. First off, i hve recently started traning with weights, and do all muscle groups. But for chest muscles my workout program (that came free with my weights :)) the chest excercises all need a bench, but i dont have one. Will just doing them on a workout mat thingy on the floor be fine?
and secondly, whenever i do chest excercises i dont feel like it's working my chest. the only thing that hurts is my triceps. Am i doing it right? Or is the fact im doin them on the floor makin it not work? please help

1) You need to get a bench, doing bench presses and flies on the ground still helps but you cant do the full range of motion that you could on a bench. When you exercise your chest it happens at the bottom of the rep, you can't get to the bottom of the rep doing bench press on the ground because your elbows hit the ground and stop you, so your mainly using your triceps.
2) The reason your triceps are sore, one as I said on the first paragraph your not doing the full range of motion and so your using the triceps a lot more then your chest. Also, your chest and your triceps are like a link when it comes to bench press. Your triceps are the weaker link of the 2 so they get sore quicker. Build up your triceps more and they wont get as sore.
3) When you said "am I doing the exercises right" you cant do them right until you get a bench.

I just use one of those long table chairs. Like the bench chairs in school yards. It has no rack so I cannot do heavy lifts but its better than nothing... I can do flyes.
