I can help ya out and welcome to the marines semper fi :)
As an ex-marine I can tell you what you can expect. Expect a lot of excercises that focus on quickness, agility, and endurance. If you are going to do any weight training, focus on something you can do a lot of reps on. The instructors don't want you to get any bigger while training- but you will get very lean. I would do a minimum of about 300 pushups a day to train- you will be doing more than that at boot. Also do a lot of Mountain Climbers (I am unsure if they post that exercise on this site you might want to check around the net for some site that may describe it. Or ask your recruiter- he will more than be willing to tell you how.) And do a lot of cardio- with some pool time too. In boot you hit the pool early in training, so when you hit the pool to do some training now, get some weights you can use in the pool cuz your pool training at boot involves weights.
If you have any more questions regarding the marines, feel free to ask. Trust me- your recruiter will tell you as little as possible about actual boot because in the marines it is different from any other military training, and is very difficult. (You have to train hard to join the best military branch in the world! :) ) But remember- they design it to allow you to succeed through very hard work, and you will succeed. Good Luck!

yea...
so probably do compound exercises for high reps...or many sets with short rests(trying to rest less and less)
squats(pick a weight and do sets of 20 with 30 sec rest for 5-10 sets)
same with deadlifts, rows, pull ups, push ups(pulldowns..if you can't do bodyweight), sit ups,
and probably distance runs would be helpful....aim for 20 miles a week....

compound exercises....are those which use many train many muscles at the same time(or multijoint)....vs isolation exercises which mainly hit only 1 muscle....
www.abcbodybuilding.com has moving stick figures of correct form for each exercise...
