I'm so fed up with myself! I keep saying that I'm going to start going to the gym. But what do I do...NOTHING!!!!! I'm so upset and angry with myself! WHat the heck is wrong with me. I keep seeing guys that are all buff and look amazing and then that makes me feel depressed cuz I see them then I look at me and notice how skrawny and pittyful I look. Then I say "That's it! I'm going to go to the gym." But what do I do? NOTHING! I've had enough! (Knowing me I'll probably STILL not do anything about it). What the *bleep* is my problem?! Why can't I commit to actualy going to the gym and sticking with it? I've been trying to go to the gym for years. I go for maybe a day or two then I stop. Then it starts all over again. The feeling of inadequacy, feeling depressed, saying that I'm going to go, I go for 1 day, then stop. Etc. Why am I such a lazy dufas?!

I'm sorry if I'm angry. I just need to get it out in the open.

Thank you Reddy.

That's good advice. I'll give that a try. Just have to find someone to come with me. hahaha

Wish I wasn't shy.

Before January 31st of this year, I was a 330-pound fat tub of lard who got winded walking up more than five steps. I looked at myself and said there's NO WAY any sane, hot woman would want to hook up with me. I don't care how shallow it sounds, the thought of many hookups with hot girls was my motivation. That's why I decided to turn my life around. I started eating healthy and hitting the gym 6-7 times a week! While I'm still fat, I have made significant progress. I've lost 50 pounds in the 10 weeks since I made that decision. I'm kicking major a@@! And I'm proud of that.

Dude, the bottom line is this -- YOU have to make the decision. No one else can do it for you. The longer you wait, the harder it will be. Think about all those buff guys. Do you know the only thing keeping you from being one of those "buff" guys? It's you! You have to make a decision and stick to it. Remember by not sticking to it the only person you're letting down is you. I'm not trying to give you an ego trip, but, in this case, IT IS ALL ABOUT YOU.

I think that once you start working out you will look forward to going to the gym! I found that after about 2-3 weeks of working out, I actually started looking forward to it! And the three days I couldn't go because of my schedule, I became upset because I had missed and felt bad physically. I don't know, but there's something about getting in the gym, working out and releasing all those juices (endorphines?) which makes you feel great! Plus, imagine looking in the mirror and seeing your new, body develop right in front of your eyes. That will certainly serve as motivation.

Good luck! I hope you get what you want.

See ya at the gym!

Thanks davidday.

That's what I needed. Everything that you've just said makes total sense. I agree with you completely.

From this day forward I will no longer be a prisoner to my laziness. I'm going to do something about it! No more mister nice guy.

Thanks.

once you start going....it will become routine...like showering, brushing teeth, eating, sleeping...etc....

the results of both weights and new musclewill also help motivate you and create a cycle ....that gets you even more hooked and so forth...

KK...I used to do this as well. I don't know if you're like me but if you are then maybe this will help.

I was always questioning if what I was doing was going to get me anywhere and I would come to the determination that I didn't know what I was doing and quit. Don't let this happen to you! Get to the gym, read something new on this site or another everyday so the next day you can incorporate it into your workout and/or diet. That way your knowledge on the subject if constantly expanding and growing and changing, and most of all remains exciting. Redundantly doing what I was doing without any knowledge on the subject burned me out within a week. So far I've been going almost 4 weeks now and am starting to see improvements...and I have only tapped the surface of the amount of knowledge out there. Some of it's good info, some not so good, and some just downright awful...sift through it the best you can and come here to get your questions answered. Now go to the gym!!
