Just lookin for some feedback on what my cardio breakdown should be. I do weights about 4- 5 times a week, with a rest day after every 2 days of weights. Cardio I do is typically HITT, and was just wondering how many days a week I should be doing it. I'm relatively lean, the only real place I have excess fat is in the midsection. I prefer early am cardio, and am looking for a schedule to burn this off and help me stay lean while I focus on adding mass and definition.
If this help, I weigh in at 158 lbs, diet is about a 50% carb, 30% protein, 20% fat breakdown. For some reason, I eat like a horse but don't usually put my daily caloric intake over 2000..

i think if u r doing 4-5 times weight exercises.. you should increase ur protein intake to like above 50% of ur total.. doing cardio in the morning gives more result.. but if u do it empty stomach.. u r risking to lose LBM.. try to have a small clean meal b4 ur cardio..

and i think b'coz u r building muscles (when themself are FAT burning machines).. you'll be okay with 2 days of cardio.. can u give a little bit more detail of what cardio do u do and how?...:)

What would you consider a small clean meal? I like to do cardio in the morning, but I can't do it immediately after I eat, esp. if I've eaten carbs because Blood floods the stomach and induces muscle cramping. Any suggestions?

cardio now is typically HIIIT.. 5 min warmup, then 20 min of alternating 45 sec sprints with 90 sec easy, then 5 min cooldown

and thanks dominator.. i typically take a protein shake before morning cardio, but if i shift to a 2 day/week cardio stint, i can do that on my resistance rest days
