I have read around on the boards a lot and learned a lot of new things, but I still have a few questions:

I'm working on losing body fat % and getting cut. I've adjusted my diet to a more healthy/lean diet (No more beer and chicken wings). I noticed that the exercises here have multiple sets of declining reps, is that preferrable to multiple sets of a constant rep number? Also, at what number of repetitions per set does it become ineffective (I'm looking for endurance)? After reading the post here on letting muscles rest a couple days (6 for legs, chest and 5 for arms), why is it that it takes so long to regenerate? I was always told to alternate upper/lower body so I worked all upper then all lower, with 2-3 resting days a week, which I ran cardio. Any information that can be given would be very helpful, I've already learned a lot sifting through other posts.

pyramiding is just one of many techniques used to shock the muscles....straight reps can be just as useful/effective.....it's also a preferred method to progress to heavier weights slowly during a workout...

recovery is different for many people...the bigger your muscles the more recovery you need....

bigger muscles need more recovery....so legs may need 5-10+ days vs maybe 2-3+ days for arms.....

to get great results....you can try powerlifting...it can help you achieve great results in terms of strength and muscle...while you can still stay lean by keeping check of your calories and keeping high protein intake....thus powerlifting style workout but bodybuilding like nutrition...
