Hey Guys,
I have been away so such a long time from this site. Since school is about to end for me and I am hopefully going to graduate and get my degree I was thinking of getting back into tip top shape. But obviously we all have to start somewhere. You see since school this year I've slipped by not going to the gym very often and usually sleeping pretty late. So I wanted to ask, I am going to give myself a good 6 months to try and get back into shape. I wanted to ask, is it possible to get into great shape, physically within that time period? And how strict must I be with my diet?
Thanks and its nice to be back,
Chris

depends how much weight/fat% you want to lose or how much muscle you want to gain or whatever else.....fitness can be defined in terms of many factors...
it all depends....6 months is enough time to get into fairly good shape but you do realize you will lose all your gains after those 6 months if you stop?....why are you limiting yourself to just 6 months?....if you plan to stop after 6 months....then just save your time and do something else....fitness is a lifestyle....everyone has school/work/children/obligations/clubs/etc.....yet we still manage to find time...all of those are just excuses...

No, I am not using it as an excuse, well I guess I am in a way. But I really want to get back into shape. And I am not just limiting myself to only 6 months, I just want to get back into great shape and maintain it as I once did. I am hoping to trim down and add a some muscle in my body. So trimming down on the fat and replacing it with some muscle. And trust me I totally understand what you when you're saying that we lose the muscle we gained. I'm living proof. But I am hoping to really get back into but its so hard right now since I've been out of the routine and so used to the bad habits. Any suggestions as to how I should approach it and get rid of the bad habits? Anything is appreciated.

remember that fitness is a lifetime commitment.. i think the easiest thing for you would be to check out the programs on this site and see what pertains to your goals.. then you can get on the right track
